On November 12, the Vancouver Financial Center officially opened its doors. A week later, on November 19, Washington Trust joined with Greater Vancouver Chamber, local businesses and clients, and team members from across our footprint, to celebrate the Bank’s 41st location.

“Our team has deep and longstanding roots here in Vancouver,” says Erik Selden, Washington Trust Bank Senior Vice President and Vancouver Team Leader. “We’re all excited to continue providing our expertise to the dynamic Vancouver market, and we are eager to deepen our existing relationships and build new ones as we serve individuals and businesses in this community.”

As a financial center, the new location provides tailored financial solutions to both individuals and businesses. The commercial team brings more than 80 years of banking experience, and the branch provides checking, savings, money market, retirement accounts, and home loans for individuals.

“The Vancouver team members will draw on their deep roots in the community and their insight into local industries and opportunities to deliver banking services that are tailored to the needs, challenges, and goals of our Southwest Washington clients,” says Washington Trust President Kevin Blair.

At the ceremony, Amelia Shelley, board chair of Columbia Play Project, was on hand to receive a $2,000 donation from Washington Trust. Columbia Play Project creates exploratory play spaces and shared play experiences for the young and young-at-heart and inspires them to discover their passions.

The donation was one of five to area non-profits in celebration of the Bank’s new location. The other area non-profits receiving donations include:
