Washington Trust’s Chief Information Officer, Michael Slama, won the 2025 SeattleCIO ORBIE Award in the Large Corporate category on April 11. Michael has 30 years of experience in the financial services field and has dramatically improved the Bank’s operating efficiency, compliance, and problem-solving capabilities from an information technology perspective. Michael has led groundbreaking work to improve Washington Trust’s IT team and their strategic direction, allowing the department to shift from a traditional support role to an enterprise-enabling one.
